TRANSX HyperHelp

This is a hypertext help package for TRANSX 2.15. It is organized around the user input instructions supplemented with hypertext links to text and figures extracted from the TRANSX manual: R. E. MacFarlane, "TRANSX 2: A Code for Interfacing MATXS Cross-Section Libraries to Nuclear Transport Codes," Los Alamos National Laboratory report LA-12312-MS (July 1992) (see Publications), with some notes pertaining to special features of TRANSX 2.15 added.

You can keep a window containing this package available on your workstation screen while you prepare TRANSX input.

A number of cross-section libraries in MATXS format are available for TRANSX. These libraries are converted between binary and ASCII modes using the BBC code. BBC can also be used to index or list a library. A new capability is to use a random-access directory of single material MATXS files rather than a large multi-material MATXS file. BBC can also be used to manage such directories.

Links to several sample problems will be found at the end of this page.

There is also a hypertext version of the TRANSX report available.
