J/y-N interaction and J/y-nuclei

Ryoichi Seki
Cal State Univ., Northridge

A brief review is presented of the physics of the J/y-N interaction and J/y-nuclei, for possible experiments at the upcoming FAIR (Facility of Antiproton and Ion Research) at GSI and at J-PARC (Japan Proton Research Complex) in Japan, as well as at (an upgraded) JLab. It is emphasized that the J/y-N interaction is not of meson-exchange nature but is of the direct QCD origin. It is expected to provide a unique means to address nuclear physics investigations.
