CP Violation in Top Physics

Kaori Fuyuto
University of Massachusetts Amherst

Baryon asymmetry is one mystery in our Universe. Based on Sakharov’s criteria, CP violation is necessary for producing the asymmetry. Top quark might be the most sensitive particle to new physics due to its large Yukawa coupling, therefore, we expect that CP-violating process with the top quark can be enhanced. This talk will discuss the possibility of electroweak baryogenesis driven by the top Yukawa coupling, and touch on phenomenological aspects of the top quark dipole operators.
