Supersymmetry with an inhomogeneous S-term

It is supposed to be a generic result that the renormalization group equation of a particular combination of scalar superpartner masses (more popularly known as the S-term) in models of electroweak supersymmetry is homogeneous, and remains so irrespective of details of how supersymmetry is broken. This term, therefore, is thought to be an interesting measure to probe far ultraviolet. In this talk, I show how this understanding breaks down and the result is not valid in the most general scenarios of softly broken supersymmetry. In the second half of the talk I will use this result to resurrect models of supersymmetry which are ruled out because of cosmological considerations.
