High order QCD corrections to processes at hadron colliders

Haitao Li
Monash U.

Precision predictions are achieved by computing higher order correction in the expansion in QCD coupling constant which consists fixed order expansions and resummation of logarithmic terms analytically or numerically. I will discuss fixed order calculations and analytical resummations based on SCET. Then I will talk about resummation through Monte Carlo method, i.e. parton shower and its extension to NLO.
