Thermal behavior of neutron stars

Dany Page
Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico

I will present an overview of neutron star stucture and several astrophysical scenarios where the thermal behavior of the star plays an important role. Study of this behavior is a good tool to constrain the nature of ultra-dense (supernuclear) matter. However, properties of matter at not so high densities often turn out to be a major uncertainty in the models.
