Turbulence, Magnetic Fields, and Gravity: The Essentials of Star Formation

David Collins
LANL

I will be discussing the role of self-gravitating magnetized turbulence in the formation of stars. I will present results from high resolution adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) simulations of collapsing molecular clouds, the physical properties of those clouds, and discuss the theory behind the rate of star formation.
