What can QMC do for DFT? (and vice versa)

Alexandros Gezerlis
Darmstadt, Germany

In this talk I will discuss a series of recent works on neutron matter and cold atoms. The systems studied range from symmetric matter, to the neutron polaron, up to generally polarized matter. In all cases, I will try to show how microscopic methods can interact with more phenomenological approaches. If time permits, I will also discuss recent work on finite-temperature physics.
