Hadron structure and TMD extraction

Ignazio Scimemi
Complutense University of Madrid

Understanding the structure of protons or hadrons is one of the objectives of modern QCD research. TMDs are hadronic matrix elements that allow to study the momentum distributions inside the hadrons beyond the standard collinear PDFs and fragmentation functions. Because of the dependence of TMDs on renormalization and rapidity scales the implementation of the TMD formalism results to be different from the standard single-scale parameter evolution. In this seminar I will describe one possible implementation, which is called zeta-prescription and its application in the extraction of TMDs from data. The data set studied include all known Drell-Yan/Z boson experiments.
