Theoretical Developments in Heavy and Light Flavour Energy Loss

Ivan Vitev
LANL, T-16

Recent developments in the many-body perturbative QCD theory of radiative and collisional energy loss will be reviewed. Their relevance to the phenomenology of hard probes in heavy ion collisions will be discussed. Future directions and opportunities for jet physics at the LHC will be presented. This 30 min talk is intended to help prepare an overview for the upcoming Quark Matter 2008 conference in Jaipur, India. Your criticism and help in improving the presentation will be greatly appreciated.
