New Perspectives and Challenges in Electroweak Baryogenesis

Sean Tulin
TRIUMF

Barogenesis at the electroweak scale may explain the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe, and can be tested experimentally by electric dipole moment searches and in colliders. Nevertheless, the implications of theses tests are obscured by order-of-magnitude theoretical discrepancies in different baryogenesis computations. Here I describe recent progress in resolving these discrepancies through more robust treatment of the non-equilibrium dynamics of flavor oscillations in an inhomogenius medium. I also discuss recent experimental hints of new CP violation from B physics and implications for baryogenesis.
