Analysis on a g-folding model for optical potential: results and applications

Analysis on a non-relativistic $g$- folding optical potential for nucleon-nucleus scattering is presented {cite {amos}]. The procedure, defined by the optimal fits to $g$-matrices calculated from an algebraic solution to the Brueckner-Bethe-Golstone (BBG) integral equations, is described first. Realistic nucleon-nucleon (NN) potentials, such as Paris and Bonn, are used and comparison of both for the binding energy of nuclear matter as a function of density is prersented. Non-relativistic full-folding optical model potentials for nucleon elastic scattering have been calculated and applied to neutron scattering of different nuclei, such as $^{56}$Fe and $^{197}$Au, at energies between $10$ and $250$ MeV. The reliability of the potential is shown in comparison with available experimental data and discussed along with its applications.
