Sterile Plus Active Neutrinos and Neutrino Oscillations

First I'll review the transition probability for muon to electron neutrino oscillation (P(nu_mu -> nu_e)) using the S-matrix theory for active neutrinos, using a 3X3 U matrix. Then the P(nu_mu -> nu_e) with a sterile plus three active neutrinos, using a 4X4 U matrix is derived. Finally the results for MINOS, MiniBooNE, Kamioka, and CHOOZ for the 4X4 compared to the 3X3 theory are shown.
