Relativistic Point-Coupling Model in the Hartree-Fock Approximation: Application to nuclear matter
The relativistic point-coupling model gives comparable results in describing
ground-state properties of finite nuclei and nuclear matter as the well known
relativistic mean-field (finite range) and Skyrme-Hartree-Fock models. Our
aim is to employ the relativistic point-coupling model in the Hartree-Fock
approximation. I will present the formalism to derive the equations of motion and will discuss
and explain the problems which occur due to the explicit treatment of exchange.
Furthermore, I will present first calculations for nuclear matter and show possible
restrictions which are needed to calculate finite nuclei.
