Source imaging in heavy-ion collisions
High energy heavy-ion collisions can produce hundreds or even thousands
of highly correlated (i.e. "entangled") particles in a single event.
This entanglement is a simple consequence of interparticle interactions
and quantum statistics. These entangled particles can be exploited to
"image" the particle emitting source in these nuclear reactions. In
this talk, I will describe this imaging technique, the physics we can
extract from the images, and some recent results from application of
this technique.
