What can No-Core Shell Model do for you?

Ionel Stetcu
T-16, LANL

I will discuss different applications of the no-core shell model (NCSM) to few- and many-body systems. In particular, I will concentrate on the details of the recent calculation of the nuclear electric dipole and Schiff moments of 3He, as well as electric polarizabilities. Recent applications to the derivation of shell model calculations for medium-mass nuclei will also be presented. Finally, I will discuss current efforts to link R-matrix theory to the underlying NN and NNN interactions by means of NCSM.
