Nuclear DFT: Special Problems, Some Solutions

Bertrand Giraud
CEA Saclay

Basic questions and results about nuclear DFT will be discussed, showing how to solve the center-oof-mass problem and take advantage of invariance under rotations to obtain a rigorous DFT that is one-dimensional. The usual 2d or 3d solutions are reinterpreted. It also introduces the importance of concavity for a proper handling of particle number conservations by a universal DF.
