Nuclear Properties for Astrophysical and RIB Applications: Normal
Files
These normal files for the preprint ``Nuclear Properties for Astrophysical and
Radioactive-Ion-Beam Applications,'' by P. Möller, J. R. Nix, and K.-L.
Kratz, should be selected only by those without access to gunzip, as they are
several times the length of the compressed versions and will consequently
require several times as long to transmit. If you have access to gunzip, then
please use these compressed files.
- astro.tar (18.50 MB).
Tar file of the complete preprint, including device-independent (dvi),
PostScript, and LaTeX versions of the text and table, plus PostScript files of
the figures and graphs. Use the command tar xvf astro.tar to create the
directory astro containing the files text.dvi,
text.ps, text.tex, table.dvi, table.ps, and
table.tex plus the three sub-directories figs1-16,
figs17-37, and graphs with the indicated figures and graphs.
The six text and table files contained in astro.tar are identical to
those that can be obtained individually below, but the formats used for the
figures and graphs are different. The figures and graphs are included in
astro.tar as 93 separate files in three sub-directories, whereas in
the format used below they are merged into three files containing multiple
figures or graphs.
- text.dvi (0.21 MB).
Device-independent (dvi) file produced by LaTeX of the text section of the
preprint, which occupies pages 1-40; the explanation of the graphs, which
occupies page 78; the explanation of the table, which occupies pages 135 and
136; and pages 137 and 138 that should be discarded. This file can be
conveniently viewed on-screen by use of xpreview, xdvi, or similar dvi
previewer. It can also be used on many systems to generate a PostScript file
of arbitrary printer resolution.
- text.ps (0.43 MB).
PostScript file in 600-dpi resolution produced by LaTeX and dvips of the text
section of the preprint, which occupies pages 1-40; the explanation of the
graphs, which occupies page 78; and the explanation of the table, which
occupies pages 135 and 136. Print this file on a 600-dpi PostScript printer to
produce the entire text section and explanations of the graphs and table.
- text.tex (0.19 MB).
LaTeX file of the text section of the preprint, which occupies pages 1-40; the
explanation of the graphs, which occupies page 78; the explanation of the
table, which occupies pages 135 and 136; and pages 137 and 138 that should be
discarded. Please note that if you process this file with your LaTeX system,
you may obtain line and page breaks at different locations than occurred where
the preprint was prepared. To guarantee the original appearance of the
preprint, you should instead utilize either the above file text.dvi or
the above file text.ps.
- figs1-16.ps (2.69 MB).
Figures 1-16 of the preprint, which are in color. This file should ideally be
printed on a color PostScript printer. On some color printers that are
not able to print close to the edge of the paper, the page number, figure
number, and running head may not be printed properly. If this occurs, the
figure can be rescaled and translated by use of appropriate PostScript
commands. Alternatively, this file can be conveniently viewed on-screen by use
of ghostview or similar PostScript previewer. In the absence of a color
printer or monitor, you can print or view this file on a black-and-white
device, although the resulting grayscale is nonoptimal.
- figs17-37.ps (1.10 MB).
Figures 17-37 of the preprint. Print on any black-and-white PostScript
printer. Alternatively, this file can be conveniently viewed on-screen by use
of ghostview or similar PostScript previewer.
- graphs.ps (4.99 MB).
Graphs 1-56 of the preprint, containing level diagrams for representative
spherical and deformed nuclei throughout the periodic system. Print on any
black-and-white PostScript printer. In the event that your printer memory is
not large enough to print this long file in its entirety, it can be split into
separate files corresponding to smaller numbers of figures. The splits should
occur between %%trailer and %!PS-Adobe-1.0. Alternatively,
this file can be conveniently viewed on-screen by use of ghostview or similar
PostScript previewer.
- table.dvi (2.12 MB).
Device-independent (dvi) file produced by LaTeX of the table of nuclear
properties, which occupies pages 135 and 136 (blank to facilitate running head
and double-sided printing) and pages 137-296. This file can be conveniently
viewed on-screen by use of xpreview, xdvi, or similar dvi previewer. It can
also be used on many systems to generate a PostScript file of arbitrary printer
resolution.
- table.ps (3.55 MB).
PostScript file in 600-dpi resolution produced by LaTeX and dvips of the table
of nuclear properties, which occupies pages 137-296. Print this file on a
600-dpi PostScript printer to produce the entire table.
- table.tex (3.14 MB).
LaTeX file of the table of nuclear properties, which occupies pages 135 and 136
(blank to facilitate running head and double-sided printing) and pages
137-296. Please note that if you process this file with your LaTeX system, you
may obtain line and page breaks at different locations than occurred where the
table was prepared. To guarantee the original appearance of the preprint, you
should instead utilize either the above file table.dvi or the above
file table.ps.
