Joint Evaluated File - Version 2.2

The standard nuclear data files for Europe are contained in the Joint Evaluated File, the currently released version being JEF-2.2. The JEF data available from the T-2 Nuclear Information Service were downloaded from the NEA Data Bank in January 1997 and repackaged for use with our Nuclear Data Viewer. The JEF General Purpose Library comes on 9 "tapes," which were split into separate isotopes for our purposes. The following information is from the JEF distribution:

    JEF-2.2 General Purpose Library
    -------------------------------

The current version of the general purpose library was released
    in January 1992.

The library contains evaluations of neutron reaction data for 313
elements or isotopes from 1-H-1 to 99-Es-253 in the neutron energy
range from 10E-5 eV to 20 MeV, in ENDF-6 format.

The library is divided into 9 tapes as follows:

         TAPE 1 - 1-H - 1 - 23-V -nat
         TAPE 2 - 24-Cr-50 - 30-Zn-64
         TAPE 3 - 31-Ga-nat - 47-Ag-111
         TAPE 4 - 48-Cd-nat - 59-Pr-143
         TAPE 5 - 60-Nd-142 - 65-Tb-160
         TAPE 6 - 66-Dy-160 - 83-Bi-209
         TAPE 7 - 90-Th-230 - 92-U -238
         TAPE 8 - 93-Np-237 - 94-Pu-244
         TAPE 9 - 95-Am-241 - 99-Es-253
